Welcome to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ Performance Dashboard. The dashboard indicates the Department’s progress meeting the goals and specific measures that reflect our continuing commitment to public safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. DHSMV’s Performance Dashboard is a critical component in our effort to forge a path that will ensure our continued success as the nation’s premier highway safety agency. Each month, the dashboard is updated with the most current data available. (Please note that due to the timing and availability of some data elements, there may be delays in the timeframes in which the data is reported.)

·     About the Measures:  The Dashboard contains three distinct tiers of reporting, including our primary goals; categories; and specific performance measures and standards that indicate the status of our efforts. These same measures and standards are part of our Department’s 2014-2015 Strategic Plan.

·         How to interpret the gauges: For the gauges related to the primary goals and categories, actual performance at 95 to 100 percent of the standard is shown in green (i.e., acceptable), while performance that is 80 to less than 95 percent of standard is shown in yellow (i.e., caution), and actual performance at less than 80 percent is shown in red (i.e., unacceptable). The gauges reflect the performance average of each of the specific performance measures included therein. For the gauges related to each of the specific performance measures, actual performance is reflected in dashboard gauges relative to the established standard.
