SUSPENSION - FAILURE TO PAY COURT ORDERED SUPPORT
(Suspension - Violation 322.058 Support Delinquency)
Your driving privilege will be suspended because of court notification of failure to pay court ordered support. Please contact the court and obtain an affidavit of compliance so we can update your record and the suspension can be avoided. If you meet the requirements of the court on or after the suspension date, a $60.00 reinstatement fee will be required to clear each suspension. If your record indicates two court ordered child support suspensions your reinstatement fee will be $120.00, three equals $180.00, etc...

The affidavit provided to you by the court must be dated within 30 days of reinstatement and state:
  • You have paid the delinquency or
  • You have reached a written agreement for payment or
  • A court has entered an order granting relief and ordering the reinstatement of the license and motor vehicle registration; or
  • You have complied with the subpoena, order to appear, order to show cause, or similar order, order to appear for genetic testing.
For the fastest service, take the affidavit to your local driver license office. If your affidavit of compliance is dated on or after the effective date of your suspension, you must pay the required reinstatement fee to clear the suspension (please refer to first paragraph). To clear within 7-10 days of receipt by DHSMV, you may fax it to (850) 617-3917 or mail the affidavit along with a check or money order (if required) made payable to Motorist Services to:
